RODE NTG2 Shotgun Microphone Rental in Surrey, BC
A shotgun mic for dialogue and interviews, on a boom pole or on top of the camera. It runs on 48V phantom power or an AA battery, so it still works on a camera or recorder that can't supply phantom. An 80Hz high-pass filter trims low rumble from traffic and handling. Run it into our Zoom F6 or the Sony XLR handle, and put it in our RODE Blimp when you're working outside in wind.

Good to know
- It has an XLR output, so it needs an XLR input: a recorder like the Zoom F6, a mixer, or a camera's XLR handle.
- With no phantom power, it runs on one AA battery. Take the battery out at the end of the day, since the mic draws power whenever one is in.
- The low-cut switch is recessed, so you need a pen tip to flip it.
- For booming, add our K-Tek boom pole and a shock mount. Outdoors, add the RODE Blimp or a furry windshield.
