RODE Blimp Windshield and Shock Mount for Shotgun Microphones Rental in Surrey, BC
A full wind and handling-noise kit for a shotgun mic: an enclosed windshield with a Rycote Lyre suspension inside. It takes mics up to 325 mm long, including our Rode NTG4+ and NTG2, and threads onto a standard 3/8-inch boompole like our K-Tek KE-89. Reach for it outdoors, on a windy day, or whenever the boom moves a lot. Indoors, a foam windshield is usually enough.

Weekend rate: out Friday from 12 pm and back Monday by 12 pm is 1 day. An earlier pickup or later return is 3 days.

Good to know
- It holds the mic only. Add a shotgun mic up to 325 mm long, like our RODE NTG4+ or Audio-Technica AT897, and a boom pole.
- It's made for mics 19 to 22 mm across, which covers most shotguns. Check a thinner mic sits firmly before the shoot.
- An XLR cable runs inside the handle. Add an XLR cable from the handle to your recorder.
