RODE NTG4+ Shotgun Microphone Rental in Surrey, BC
A supercardioid shotgun mic for dialogue on a boom or on top of a camera. It runs on 48V phantom power or on its own built-in battery, which Rode rates at over 150 hours a charge and which recharges over micro-USB, so it still works with a camera or recorder that has no phantom power. Switches on the body add a high-pass filter, a -10 dB pad and a high-frequency lift. Our AT897 and Apex 176 cost less per day.

Good to know
- It has an XLR output, so it needs an XLR input: a recorder like the Zoom F6 or H4n Pro, a mixer, or a camera's XLR handle.
- With no phantom power, it runs on its built-in battery, which charges over micro-USB. Charge it before the shoot.
- For booming, add our K-Tek boom pole and a shock mount. Outdoors, add the RODE Blimp for wind.
