Zoom ZDM1 Dynamic Podcast Mic Rental in Surrey, BC
A dynamic mic made for podcasts and voice work. Dynamic mics pick up less of the room than condensers, so it suits untreated spaces with more than one person talking. It needs a good amount of preamp gain, and our Cloudlifter CL-1 adds clean gain if your recorder or mixer runs short. Mount it on our RODE boom arm or a podcast mic stand. For a handheld mic at an event, the Shure SM58 is the usual pick.

Weekend rate: out Friday from 12 pm and back Monday by 12 pm is 1 day. An earlier pickup or later return is 3 days.

Good to know
- It's a dynamic mic, so it needs no phantom power. Plug it into an XLR input with an XLR cable.
- It needs plenty of preamp gain. If your recorder or mixer runs short, add our Cloudlifter CL-1.
- Work it close to the mouth. It hears the voice in front of it and turns down the room.
