Cold Shoe Shotgun Mic Mount Rental in Surrey, BC

Holds a shotgun mic on top of the camera. It slides into a cold shoe on the body, a cage or a top handle. Use it for run-and-gun work and quick interviews without a boom operator, with mics like our Rode NTG2, Deity D3 or Apex 176. For the cleanest sound, get the mic closer on our K-Tek KE-89 boompole.

Weekend rate: out Friday from 12 pm and back Monday by 12 pm is 1 day. An earlier pickup or later return is 3 days.

Good to know

It holds the mic only. Add a shotgun mic and a short cable to the camera's input: 3.5 mm, or XLR for a camera with XLR inputs.
Check that the mic fits the mount before the shoot. For a thin mic, add our Microphone Mount Adapter Insert.
On the camera, the mic sits farther from the talker than a boomed mic, so keep the camera close for interviews.
