Aputure STORM 1200x — Bi-Color LED Rental in Surrey, BC

Our most powerful light: a 1200 W bi-colour LED for big spaces, pushing light through large silks, or standing in for the sun through a window. Colour runs from 2,500K to 10,000K, and the head and control box are rated IP65 against rain. It runs on 100 to 240 V AC and draws up to 1,550 W, so give it a circuit of its own. The head weighs 9.5 kg, so use a heavy-duty stand. Our STORM 1200x reflector kit tightens the beam. For a smaller room, the Storm 400x or LS 600X Pro is easier.

Good to know

  • It runs on AC only, with no battery option. Give it a circuit of its own.
  • The head runs from a separate control box of about 6 kg, so plan a spot for it near the stand.
  • Bare, the beam is a wide 67°. Our STORM 1200x reflector kit adds 15° and 30° reflectors for a longer throw.
  • Add a heavy-duty stand and sandbags, and a Bowens softbox like our Light Dome 150 for a soft key.

Stand it up and weigh it down

Weigh every stand down with a sandbag. A big light, or one with a softbox, wants a C-stand or our combo stand.
