A sturdy black stand for heavier lights. It rises from about 1.2 m to 2.9 m (48 to 114 inches) and holds up to 10 kg (22 lb), so it carries our Aputure 300x with a softbox. Air cushioning lowers the light gently if a lock slips, and the 5/8-inch spigot has 1/4 and 3/8-inch threads. Put a 15 lb sandbag on the base, especially outdoors.

Good to know
- Air cushioning slows a dropping riser, but it isn't a brake. Keep a hand on the light while you loosen a lock.
- Spread the legs fully before you raise it. A half-open base tips easily.
