K-Tek KE-89 Avalon Series Aluminum Boompole and Mic Holder Rental in Surrey, BC
A four-section aluminum boom pole for getting a shotgun mic over the action and just out of frame. It extends from 0.76 m to 2.19 m (2.5 to 7.2 feet), weighs about half a kilo, and ends in a standard 3/8-inch thread for a shock mount or mic holder. There's no internal cable, so run your XLR along the pole. Pair it with a shotgun like our NTG4+ or AT897, and add the RODE Blimp when there's wind.

Good to know
- There is no cable inside, so add an XLR cable long enough to reach your recorder, and keep it snug along the pole.
- The top has a 3/8-inch thread for a shock mount or mic holder.
- Add headphones, like our Zoom ZHP-1, so the boom operator hears what the mic hears.
