A furry windshield, also called a dead cat, that slips over a microphone to cut wind noise outside. Even a light breeze can rumble through an uncovered shotgun mic, so bring one for any exterior. Indoors, our foam windshield is enough. For strong wind on a boom, the RODE Blimp adds a full enclosure and shock mount.

Good to know
- Windshields are sized to the mic, so tell us which mic you're using when you book.
- Shake or comb the fur loose if it's flattened. Matted fur stops less wind.
- Keep it out of the rain. Wet fur works poorly until it dries.
