Olympus Formula 5 Auto 2x Teleconverter MC for Canon FD Rental in Surrey, BC
A 2x teleconverter for Canon FD-mount film cameras like our Canon AE-1. It fits between the body and the lens and doubles the focal length, so a 50mm reaches like a 100mm. The trade-off is light: a 2x converter costs two stops, so an f/1.8 lens behaves like f/3.6, and you'll want faster film or a slower shutter speed. It's a light way to reach distant subjects without carrying a second lens.

Good to know
- It fits Canon FD-mount film cameras, like our Canon AE-1. Add an FD lens.
- It costs two stops of light. Plan on faster film or a slower shutter speed.
- Focus carefully. A 2x converter softens the image a little, most at wide apertures.
