Matthews Junior Boom Arm Rental in Surrey, BC
A heavy-duty light boom for hanging a large light or modifier out over a set where a stand can't go. It extends from 172 to 300 cm, with a fixed 11.3 kg (25 lb) counterweight on the back end and a baby pin at the tip. It weighs 18.6 kg (41 lb) on its own, so put it on a strong stand like our Matthews Digital Combo Stand, add the Combo Stand Wheels to move it, and sandbag the base whenever a light is hung.

Weekend rate: out Friday from 12 pm and back Monday by 12 pm is 1 day. An earlier pickup or later return is 3 days.

Good to know
- It's the boom only. Put it on a stand rated for the boom, its counterweight and the light together, like our Matthews Digital Combo Stand.
- Balance it before you let go: slide the boom in or out until it sits level, then lock the tilt.
- Sandbag the stand before a light goes on the boom, and keep people out from under it.
- It's a two-person lift onto a raised stand.
