Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K Rental in Surrey, BC

A compact cinema camera with a Four Thirds sensor that records 4K DCI up to 60 fps in Blackmagic RAW or ProRes, with 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO for low light. It takes Micro Four Thirds lenses like our Sirui anamorphics, or EF glass through our Metabones 0.64x EF adapter. It records to CFast 2.0, SD UHS-II or a USB-C drive and has a mini XLR input. An SD card and a Canon LP-E6 battery come in the case; bring spares for a long day. For a Super 35 sensor and EF mount, pick the Pocket 6K.

Good to know

  • It's body only, so add a Micro Four Thirds lens from the list below, or EF glass with our Metabones adapter.
  • One LP-E6 battery and one 64GB SD card are in the case. Add spare batteries, or plan on external power for long takes.
  • Blackmagic RAW needs a fast card. Use a UHS-II SD card or a CFast 2.0 card.
  • There's no viewfinder and no in-body stabilization. The 5-inch rear touchscreen is your monitor.

  • SavePanasonic Gh5s$80 / day

It takes the same Micro Four Thirds lenses and shoots 4K up to 60 fps, but records compressed video to SD, not Blackmagic RAW or ProRes. It has a viewfinder and runs on Panasonic batteries, not LP-E6.
