Step-Down Ring (82mm to 77mm) Rental in Surrey, BC

Thread adapters that let one set of filters fit lenses with different filter threads. A step-up ring puts a bigger filter on a smaller lens, like our 77mm Variable ND on a 67mm lens. Step-down goes the other way and can vignette at wide angles. We have sizes from 49mm to 95mm, so tell us the two thread sizes you need.

Good to know

  • Step-up (a bigger filter on a smaller lens) is the safe direction. Step-down can darken the corners on wide lenses.
  • Thread the rings on gently. Overtightened rings can bind on the lens.
