A wide zoom with a built-in power zoom, so you get slow, even zooms on video instead of a jerky twist of the ring. At 353 g it keeps a gimbal or a small rig light, and it suits our FX30 and A7 IV for real estate, events and vlogs. The f/4 aperture stays the same through the zoom range. For low light or shallower focus, step up to our Sony 16-35 f/2.8 GM II. It takes 72mm filters, like our 72mm UV.

Good to know
- It's the lens only. It fits Sony E-mount bodies like our FX3, FX30 and a7 IV.
- Front and rear caps, the ALC-SH172 hood and a 72mm UV filter come with it.
- There's no stabilization in the lens, so it relies on the camera's. The FX3, FX30 and a7 IV all have it in the body.
- It zooms inside the barrel, so the length doesn't change and a gimbal stays balanced through the zoom.
